‘Original Bauhaus’ is the exhibition catalogue for the ‘Original Bauhaus’ exhibition, which took place at the Berlinische Galerie to mark the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus. The catalogue aims to avoid the uncritical glorification of the Bauhaus: “(…) Instead, it examines the practices that shaped the Bauhaus during its 14 years of existence and in the subsequent decades of its reception. Using 14 key objects, the catalogue sheds light on different perspectives on individual works, industrially manufactured series, ‘originals’ and reproductions. (…)“

Our task was to design this book in such a way that it meets the requirements of a ‘Standardwerk’ (fundamental book / reference book). The first and second print runs sold out quickly.
